Airlines Industry to bleed less in 2009

The aviation industry has seen some bad times off late with sky high ticket prices which made air travel absolutely unaffordable. This was majorly due to the extremely high fuel prices that bothered every industry. All of a sudden with the huge decline in fuel prices touching barely $50 a barrel, air fare is likely to go down. Such a decline is primarily due to the collateral affect.

In India it already has started having an impact on the ticket prices, carriers such as Jet Airways and Indigo have reduced their fares as compared to some of the biggies.

This development also opens doors for other new players like Virgin that want to enter the South Asian sector.
